iPhone 5 may run on all 3G and 4G networks (except WiMAX of course)

Remember that Qualcomm chip that we told you about back in November? The one that had far better energy usage and seemed like a sure bet to be part of the iPhone 5? Well, it seems Morgan Stanley just noticed that chip was in the pipeline and has come out with a bold statement that it may be in the next iPhone.

Of course, while Morgan Stanley may be a bit late to the party on that piece of news, it did bring a bit of extra news to the table. We had already known that the chip by Qualcomm would be a world-band radio with compatibility with EV-DO Rev. A and B, HSPA+, dual-carrier HSPA+, and LTE, but what we didn't know is that it would be compatible with all frequencies of LTE.

Verizon LTE and AT&T LTE don't run on the same frequencies, and we had yet to see a radio that could run both, but it seems this Qualcomm chip can do just that, which truly does make it the all-in-one solution that Apple would love. This also would mean that the next iPhone would be compatible with T-Mobile, which jives with what T-Mo said just the other day. Of course, the iPhone being compatible with T-Mo HSPA+ and the iPhone being sold in T-Mo stores are two very different things.

Oh, and the report also says the iPhone 5 will be slimmer, but come on, that's like "predicting" the sky is blue.
